As it turns out, Realmgard owes at least 80% of its existence to the fact that I had some things to work through about becoming an older brother.
Though, in the interest of fairness, I would like to point out that a lot of the more annoying younger sibling behaviours are based on things I remember doing as a small child.
And, well, here’s Realmgard grappling with the age-old question…
The Sleep Habits of Sally Lyte

“I can’t sleep, Matilda. Can I—”
“No.”
The Lava is Made of Floor

‘Ah, yes,’ he can imagine his mother saying to the guests of one of her salons, ‘the Dracomordax pairs delightfully with the Natalian red.’
It’s Sally’s Birthday!

“We can all practice on Nolan some more!”
Matilda Volunteers Nolan

“We can all practice on Nolan some more!”
Nolan vs. Sally vs. Bedtime

“Hey, Nolan. Who’s Amara? You were talking about her in your sleep.”
