My Dinner with LegendFiction

This past weekend was the LegendHaven convention, run by LegendFiction, an online group aimed primarily at Catholic and Orthodox Fantasy and Sci-Fi writers that I’ve been part of for about a year now.

The members of the group host talks, book launches, and readings of their stories. For example, I ran a Coles Notes abridged session of “What’s Your Story, Stranger?”, my online RPG character seminar, and had a lot of fun participating a group brainstorming session to outline a Fantasy novel.

At various points on the weekend, there were keynote livestreams where several creators talked about either their work itself, or their philosophical approach to their work.

I had the opportunity to be included in one of the these keynotes and talked a bit more RPG character writing as a kinda-sorta introduction to my seminar.

Now, all of the keynotes are worth watching. Some really talented, insightful people had some really good conversations, but for the sake of brevity/simplicity/self-promotion, I’ve timestamped the link to my interview.

I think my big takeaway is how weird it feels to be treated like I know what I’m doing…

The full playlist for the weekend is here, and you can learn more about the LegendFiction group itself here.
