Pick a character from the Gallery. They’ll be your character as we go through these steps. Who did you pick?

What is your first impression of that character?

What is their name?

Your character has just walked into a tavern. What are they drinking tonight?

When your character says “I Know a Guy,” who do they mean? How do they know this person?

Consider the Beginning, Middle, and End of your character’s backstory up to this point.

What has been the one defining (or most defining) moment in your character’s life so far?

Who (are you? are your parents?)
What (does your character do as a hobby? like to eat? carry around as a good luck charm?)
Where (are you from? are you going?)
Why (are you an adventurer in the first place? a Paladin instead of a Wizard?)
How (did you end up walking into this specific tavern on this specific night)
