Listen! this is the lay of holy Dunstan:
Once while working by the forge’s fire did Dunstan, Bishop of dear memory, hear cloven hooves a-clatter. Thus the devil came on, faring far for the ruin of Men upon middle-earth.
I am currently putting the finishing touches on an illustrated poem about St. Dunstan, the Anglo-Saxon Archbishop of Canterbury from 959 to 988.
