“…Ralph simply insisted that I borrow his mace to protect myself.”
“Watch it!” Kat ducks as the spiked metal ball sweeps through the air was Tenebella brandishes it.
“Now,” Tenebella says. “Shall we be off. I do believe I owe your parents a new kettle.”
Kat gives her a knowing look. “To replace the one you burned. Trying to make tea.”
“To… replace the one I… burned,” Tenebella mutters. “Trying to make tea.”
