“This is great!” Pela says, reclining on the spa’s bed-couch-thing in a plush, comfy robe with cucumbers over her eyes and some kind of mud all over her face.
“I know,” Matilda agrees. “Nolan’s not here!”
After a particularly difficult and bemusing last assignment involving pirates, ancient treasure, and a dragon, the four female members of the Lyte Brigade have decide to treat themselves to a day at the premier spa in Porthaven.
This spa must be good. They asked Pela what kind of mud she wanted slathered on her face and then starting rhyming off an impressively long list. Pela didn’t even know there were kinds of mud.
Pela cautiously lifts her cucumbers to gaze around the room. Matilda and Amara are on their own bed-couch-thing, with their own plush, comfy robes, and their own special spa mud all over their faces.
She does, however, notice one major absence.
“Hey, where’s Falcata?”
“She found the thought of being pampered and doted on offensive to her Amazon sensibilities,” Amara answers.
